Homemade Strawberry Bread With Glaze... A Quick and Easy Breakfast Treat
If you’re looking to whip up a delicious, yet easy-to-make breakfast treat, fresh glazed strawberry bread is the way to go. It is one of those recipes that can come together quickly but still tastes like something special for breakfast or brunchtime treats.
Simple Ingredients
Not only does this recipe take minimal effort to put together but it also uses ingredients that most people have on hand already which makes it ideal for busy mornings when you want something tasty but don't have much time to spare.
Once you bring home fresh strawberries from the farmstand (no frozen strawberries, please), the recipe requires only a few simple ingredients — usually found in your daily pantry or fridge — which makes it perfect for minimalists who are "on the go" without needing an extra trip to the grocery store as well.

To Glaze Or Not To Glaze?
The powdered sugar base glaze is optional but I highly recommend it as it adds even more strawberry sweetness to this already yummy treat! Drizzle over cooled bread and... enjoy the sweet upgrade as a special weekend treat.
But if you prefer “less sweet”, no worries... This strawberry quick bread is simply wonderful without a glaze too.

It's totally up to you... Adding a luscious strawberry glaze will give the bread an extra special sweetness with even more chopped strawberries too. Not adding the glaze will result in a strawberry version of a banana bread-like treat.
So, this easy bread recipe delivers two-in-one... Wonderful strawberry bread with or without sweet strawberry glaze.

The strawberry flavor glaze is easy to put together... Simply mix the simple ingredients together in a medium bowl, stirring until creamy smooth. (See Tammy’s recipe for list of ingredients...)
Use a bit more milk, as needed, to achieve the preferred creamy texture.
Once the freshly baked strawberry bread has cooled, slowly spoon and spread the glaze over the bread loaf. Let it set for a few minutes before serving.

For best results, make sure to add the glaze AFTER baking… And after the baked bread has cooled.

It takes about 10 to 15 minutes for the glaze to set. But, ideally, the glaze will set on the outside and remain creamy smooth under the surface.
