    We’ve all been there... It is a typical weekday morning time crunch, but instead of grabbing your "go-to" breakfast on the go, what you really long for is to fast-forward to a weekend brunch treat. 

    You have the basics... Bread, eggs, and milk… But how can you turn those ingredients into something special? And still get you out the door on time for your day? 

    The answer is simple Sourdough French Toast! Not only is this recipe easy to make, but it also uses minimal ingredients you probably already have in your pantry and takes less than 20 minutes.

Will make it much easier to simply choose the number of slices needed for a breakfast for one... or for multiple guests, as needed.

    • Sourdough bread slices can be one of the best choices for French toast (and my personal favorite!) because of their unique flavor and texture. Using pre-made bread loafs such as challah or brioche can also be used to make this recipe in less time without sacrificing flavor or quality.

      When prepared using healthy ingredients like whole grain sourdough bread, you can make a nutritious sourdough French toast as well.

    • Bread that is a bit stale (2 - 3 days) is better when making French toast. You want the egg mixture to absorb easily into the bread's surface without losing the bread's inner texture.

    • Your bread may have been "too wet" either as a fresh sourdough bread loaf... Or using too much of the egg mixture in preparing your bread for cooking.

      Your goal is a golden brown crisp on the outside while still remaining soft on the inside.
